Monsoon is here and we cannot stop thinking about the freshness and calmness it brings to our life. Rain also brings a special message to us. It reminds us of the importance of spending time with our closed ones. While most of us just enjoy watching the raindrops falling from heaven, some of us even like spending the pitter-patter moments with some relaxing activities that rejuvenate them.

Here are 5 of the most popular activities people enjoy doing during the rainy season:

1. Board games
In this age of fast technology and social media, board games are losing their demands in the market. Although some of these games are available in some mobile applications the real pleasure is found playing them physically not virtually. This monsoon, grab your family members and play games like Ludo, Carrom, Monopoly, or any other games available with you. You can make sitting arrangements in the balcony or beside the window to enjoy the rain simultaneously. Don’t forget to get some hot tea and pakora ready to enjoy during the games.

2. Cooking
You can cook some special dishes with your loved ones and enjoy these gloomy days. Get your children into action and if it is one of their favorite dishes you are cooking, then they will be more enthusiastic. Put the music on and have some coffee as you take a break with your spouse while the food gets cooked.

3. Body massage
Yes, you can book yourself and your spouse and kids for a relaxing body massage at home. You can either book a professional one or get it done by yourselves taking turns. Aromatic oils or simply olive oil will be enough for this at-home relaxation method. Kids will surely love this activity as they are surely going to get into their mischievous modes doing this.

4. Movie Home
Rain can be a barrier for many of us to go out and enjoy the weekends especially for movie lovers. Create an ambiance of a movie hall at home.

Move furniture if possible. Get a sofa or a carpet. Keep some dimming light on. Watch a good movie and chill out with the family with homemade popcorn and fritters.

5. Dancing in the Rain
Music lovers can put the music on and dance to the tune in the rain on the terrace or in an open space. It is an absolutely powerful remedy to cheer one immediately. Kids would love this activity as they get to feel the raindrops on their skin. Make sure to have a warm bath after the rain shower. Avoid taking small babies out in the rain.

While most of us just enjoy watching the raindrops falling from heaven, some of us even like spending the pitter-patter moments with some relaxing activities that rejuvenate us. So pick up your favorite one and have a blast at the weekend.
