The Smallest continent Australia is being destroyed by greatest fires of this decade. A large part of wildlife has been destroyed by the fires that began in late July.
Although a number of regions in Australia are burning. However, New South Wales has been hit hard by these fires. Some of the largest cities lf Australia are also affected, including Sydney. Here, residential area is also burnt by these uncontrollable fires.
Australian hillside is glowing like a lava, because of these fires.
The main aspects to be blamed are natural. During Australian summers, there is an expected fire season. Dry lightning in the draught areas is considered major cause behind it.
However, humans aren’t completely innocent here. A 19-year-old guy was arrested for intentionally setting fires in some part of forest region.
Due to these blazes, 1,588 homes have been destroyed and over 650 have been damaged.
A total of 146 fires are burning across the state, that have engulfed billions of wild creatures.

At least 24 people have so far been killed – including three volunteer firefighters.

The number of killed animals are yet to be numbered. It was said that almost one third population of Koalas have died.
Some of the rare species of birds and frogs are on the danger of being completely wiped out due to these fires.

There are more than 5,000 firefighters working currently.
Moreover, people from same zone are helping each other by providing shelter, food and other facilities.
