Two plugs of ‘Little Boy’ detached before the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan were auctioned for 72 Lakh. The auction took place in New York. A spokesman for the Bonhams auction house said two bids of three-inch green and red plugs were auctioned for 76 thousand pounds. These two look like a lighter.
According to the report on August 9, 1945 first nuclear attack in the world was carried out. It weighed 4.4 tons. The entire city was devastated. 1.40 lakh people were killed in the attack. Japan surrendered at the same time as the nuclear attack by the US.
Plugs are made of wood metal
These plugs, made of metal and wood, were kept near Lieutenant Morris Jeppson as a token. The auction was conducted by Lieutenant Jeppson’s friend Edward Doll. He was given this plug by the lieutenant as a gift.
