The 2 parties in limelight during Indian elections are BJP and Congress, and when one releases a manifesto, it is a given, that the opposition party will scrutinise and look for the minutest mistakes in it. This is what happened on 8th April 2019, when BJP released its manifesto for the upcoming elections and made a tiny Gaffe in print. The opposition aka Congress was quick to point it out and share it on every possible media.

The Twitter handle of this party stated, “At least one point in BJP’s manifesto reflects their true intentions.” In picture was a snapshot of the mistake in print.

Obviously an unintentional goof up in the document of BJP’s manifesto, Congress pointed out that the “true intentions” of the party were clear on the issue of the Women safety. BJP manifesto mentions in print : “We have constituted the Women’s Security Division in the Home Ministry, and have made strict provisions for transferring the laws in order to commit crimes against women.”

Congress obviously had a field day highlighting this statement and the mistake in it, however, many commented that BJP has proved itself with number of women empowerment schemes and this gaffe can be totally overlooked.
