“There’s no shame in showing your tears.” Said Sachin Tendulkar. He recalled the time when he thought crying was a sign of weakness.
In an open letter during the International Men’s Week, he said that men should never be pretend to be strong when it is becoming difficult for them to hold on their tears.
“There’s no shame in showing your tears. So why hide a part of you that actually makes you stronger? Why hide your tears?” – Sachin Tendulkar.
“Because that’s what we are brought up to believe – that men are not supposed to cry. That crying makes a man weak.
“I grew up believing this. And the reason I’m writing to you today is because I realized that I was wrong. My struggles and my pain made me who I am, shaping me into a better man,”
Remembering his last day in International Cricket, he broke down while delivering the farewell speech. And he says, that he felt stronger for putting himself there, and he was a man enough!
