BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) have come up with the drastic changes in the Indian team’s salary categories based on their recent performances. Meanwhile, bowler Bumrah have come as a surprise in the package pushing back Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar from the BCCI’s A+ category and have entered the elite category.
The annual contract of the Indian players was released on Thursday night by the BCCI, which has subsequently placed only Jaspreet Bumrah, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the A-Plus category. As both, Bhuvneshwar and Dhawan moved down from the top category, made a place for wicket-keeper cum batsman Rishabh Pant in the A category.
The updated category of salary list of the Men in Blue as per their set grades are as follows:
‘A+’ Grade Players – who is earning seven crore rupees on annual are Captain Virat Kohli, Bowler Jaspreet Bumrah and Vice-Captain Rohit Sharma.
‘A’ Grade Players – who is earning five crores annually are Shikhar Dhawan, R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, , Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, MS Dhoni, Ishant Sharma,Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant and
‘B’ Grade Players – who are earning three crore rupees annually are Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul and Yuswendra Chahal.
‘C’ Grade Players – who are earning one crore rupees per year are Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik, Kedar Jadhav, Ambati Rayudu, Hanuma Vihari, Khalil Ahmed and Saha
